On Grace

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Titus 2:11‭-‬14 ESV

God’s grace has saved us. Jesus is the manifestation of this grace. God so wanted to have unbroken, eternal fellowship with us restored that He sent Himself to die on the Cross to redeem us.

Man was originally created to live forever with God. So was woman. But when sin entered the picture, disobedience of God’s commands, paradise was lost. Death was the penalty for sin for all humanity.

We have been born into sin. This world is under control of the devil. But we answer to a higher authority.

All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to Jesus Christ, our Lord.

The times we are living in demand that we make changes. God is shaking the kingdoms of this world. It is written that these things would come. These are only the beginning of birthpains.

Now is the time to get right with God. In fact, He’s making it possible for many to take an extended, quiet time alone with God. Consider this an invitation to go deeper into your personal walk with God.

The economy can’t save us. The government can’t save us. Hollywood can’t save us no matter how hard they try to entertain us to death. All the systems of this world will eventually fail and break down. They will not last. They will not stand the test of time.

Only one thing remains.

Jesus Christ and His eternal Kingdom.

Our purpose in this life is to conform our lives to His will. Too often we get on autopilot and completely disregard our relationship with God.

It’s time to wake up. It’s time to earnestly seek the Lord.

He is gracious, He is merciful, He loves us. He simply wants the best for us. He is giving us an opportunity to repent and turn to Him again.

There is One Church, One Body, One Lord. And Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.

As we each endeavor to walk in faith and obedience to the Spirit of the Lord, we will be in the unity that the Spirit provides.

God’s grace is sufficient for us. When we are weak, He is strong. All that matters is that we follow Jesus. Everything else is a distraction from our holy purpose.

Lord, we place all our trust in You. You alone have the power to save us. Lord Jesus, we ask You to lead us, step by step, day by day into Your glory and grace. Be near to us. Be near to those who are lost and suffering. Give us wisdom to live our days in the fear of the Lord. We exalt You, O Lord, maker of Heaven and Earth. Everything belongs to You and we are Your people, purchased by Your blood, to do Your good will. Give us favor as we share Your message of truth and salvation by faith with the world around us. We pray all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
